Beatrice Marshall
Beatrice Marshall anchors "Africa Live", a daily Global News program that gives viewers a deeper perspective of the news and views of Africa. Beatrice is also the host of "Talk Africa", a weekly talk show that provides global viewers with an inside look at social, economic and political events shaping the African continent. She has interviewed 22 sitting African Heads of State and Governments, among other leading African politicians, decision-makers and thought-leaders.
Mike Walter
Mike Walter is a general news anchor. He joined CCTV America, the predecessor of CGTN America, in 2011. He also anchors Full Frame, a weekly one-hour program which is enriched with animated discussion of film, arts and culture, humanitarian work, science, technology, innovation and social trends. Walter has an extensive career as an anchor. He was a weekday anchor at WUSA, the CBS station in Washington D.C. for 6 years. He also worked as Senior Correspondent at USA TODAY LIVE and covered a variety of national stories during his three years in that position. His reporting on 9/11 won him international attention, and he was interviewed on CBS this Morning, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the BBC.
Liu Xin
Liu Xin is a senior host at CGTN. She joined CCTV's English language service in 1997. After being posted as CCTV's Geneva Bureau Chief from 2011-2016, she moved back to Beijing to host a weeknight opinion program named The Point with Liu Xin. Liu Xin has become one of China's most visible journalists, interviewed by foreign mainstream media outlets such as Fox Business, CNBC, NPR and AFP.
Jamie Owen
Jamie Owen anchors CGTN Europe. He is a television news journalist with thirty years’ experience in the industry. He joined CGTN from TRT World where he anchored international television news. Prior to that, he worked at the BBC reading the radio news on the main bulletins before transitioning to television to anchor the flagship BBC Wales Today show. He has worked extensively overseas for BBC World Service Trust and BBC Media Action advising television companies in Libya, Egypt, Jordan, India and Germany.
Tracey Chang
Tracey Chang is an anchor and reporter of Global Business, CGTN’s flagship business program. Prior to joining CCTV-News, Tracey was a reporter and correspondent at CNBC Asia and Fox Business News. She also worked as a mergers and acquisitions analyst with Lehman Brothers and Societe Generale before switching to the field of journalism. Tracey holds a BA in economics from DePauw University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is a also a bilingual reporter and the first on air talent at CNBC to broadcast in both English and Mandarin.
Ji Xiaojun
Ji Xiaojun is the host of ICON on CGTN and his voice opened and closed the Beijing Olympic Games. Ji has also announced for the Youth Olympics, the Paralympics, the Special Olympics, the World Expo, the Asian Games, the World Universiade, the Asian Beach Games and China National Games. Ji has hosted different types of programs in his nineteen-year TV career. Ji was awarded "CCTV Anchor/Presenter of the Year" three times. He also won the "Golden Microphone Award" in 2012, the highest national award in broadcasting in China.
Peninah Karibe
Peninah Karibe is a news anchor and reporter at CGTN Arica. She is a seasoned journalist with 17 years’ experience. While at her present role she has covered key events on the continent. The highlights include the 2013 coup in the Central African Republic, the fall of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, the M23 rebellion in eastern DRC and the COP 22 in Morocco.
Robert Lawrence Kuhn
Robert Lawrence Kuhn is the host and co-producer of Closer to China with R.L. Kuhn , a commentator on CNN, BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox Business, and a columnist with South China Morning Post and China Daily. He is a renowned China expert and winner of "China Reform Friendship Medal," China’s highest award that honors 10 foreigners over four decades. Kuhn is the author of How China’s Leaders Think (featuring President Xi Jinping) and The Man Who Changed China: The Life and Legacy of Jiang Zemin. Kuhn has a Ph.D. in anatomy/brain research (UCLA) and an MBA (MIT).
Lindy Mtongana
Lindy Mtongana is a features reporters and news anchor for the Africa
Bureau’s flagship program, Africa Live. She joined CGTN in 2015 and
has since travelled through China and much of Africa engaging with
regional leaders, newsmakers and local communities. Prior to joining
CGTN, Lindy worked for premier independent news broadcasters in her home country of South Africa, including the award-winning Talk Radio
702 and the country's first 24-hour news channel, eNewsChannel Africa
(eNCA). Lindy Mtongana is driven by a passion for telling Africa’s
stories.
Mahia Mutua
Mahia Mutua anchors Sports Scene Africa, a half-hour weekly sports program that focuses on sports from Africa and beyond.  He has been at CGTN since joining in 2013, where he worked as a reporter, covering sports events across the continent in Rwanda, Senegal, Uganda, and Tunisia.  Prior to joining CGTN, Mahia worked as a main news, judicial and sports journalist for two Kenyan media houses.
Richard Nta
Richard Nta holds the position of News anchor for Africa Live , The Link and  Match Point. Richard has anchored many major breaking news stories on CGTN including coverage of the recent elections in Nigeria. With more than 15 years of experience in television broadcasting, Richard has also worked at Afro World View, ENCA News Network and Kwese Sport in South Africa.
Ramah Nyang
Ramah Nyang is a Kenyan business journalist. Since 2006 he has been working across the full spectrum of Broadcast Media, as a journalist and presenter on radio and television across a range of local and international outlets. Business news is his key area of expertise, and he's been on the front lines telling stories as diverse as the economic stakes of elections in East African economies, to the human and financial costs of its infrastructure binge, as well as the cutting edge experiments being done in financial services, tech, and policy governing both.
Uche Okoronkwo
Uche Okoronkwo anchors Global Business Africa, a daily 1 hour show that analyzes Africa's business and financial markets. She joined CGTN Africa in 2015, after over a decade travelling across Africa working with major channels like Bloomberg TV Africa, CNBC Africa and BBC World as an anchor/presenter and producer. Uche graduated with an MA in Business and Financial Journalism from Columbia University's prestigious school of journalism.
Elaine Reyes
Elaine Reyes is a general news anchor based in Washington, D.C. She is also the host of Americas Now, an hour-long weekly magazine program that focuses on social, economic and political issues in the Americas. She has covered all kinds of stories from natural disasters to sporting events and everything in between. Reyes previously worked for WRC-TV, the NBC station in Washington. She was also a reporter and anchor in Atlanta, Georgia and several other US television stations.
Karen Roberts
Karen Roberts is a news anchor with extensive knowledge and experience of broadcasting around the world — UK, Mongolia, Qatar, Russia, China, France and Kenya.  Karen began her CGTN career as a correspondent in London before relocating to Beijing where she anchored the daily news and presented features for China Insight.  Two years ago, she moved to Nairobi to present Africa Live. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting Nairobi National Park and walking in Karura Forest, studying, painting and mentoring.
Hannah Viviers
Hannah Viviers anchors Africa Live, a program which is broadcast from CGTN’s Nairobi studios and focuses on news and current affairs from across the continent.  She joined CGTN Africa in July 2019. Hannah’s career, which began in South Africa, spans over 17 years and includes her work as an anchor for the South African Broadcasting Corporation as well as global business news service CNBC.   Hannah holds a degree in Journalism and a Postgrad qualification in Economics.
Tian Wei
Tian Wei is the anchor of World Insight and has been the only host since the program format changed from a weekly news roundup into a global debate show. Before joining CCTVNEWS, the predecessor to CGTN, Tian started her career in radio, hosting China's first foreign language radio talk show, and once worked in Washington, D.C. as a based correspondent. Tian has conducted exclusive interviews with various heads of state and well-known international figures including former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Wang Mangmang
Wang Mangmang hosts Asia Today and is also co-anchor of China 24. Wang started as a correspondent of the channel. She has excelled in covering natural disasters, such as the snow storm that paralyzed southern China in 2008, the 8.0 magnitude earthquake in China's southwest Sichuan Province the same year, and Japan's earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Wang has interviewed many political figures including Chinese premier Wen Jiabao, former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, former US Ambassador to China Jon Huntsman and Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Yang Rui
Yang Rui currently hosts ‘Dialogue with Yang Rui’, a flagship talk show on CGTN. He has received many prestigious honors during his 20-plus years as a host. In 2004, he was the winner of the top-ten hosts of CCTV. In 2009, he was given the Golden Microphone Award and was named as one of the 60 best anchors in 60 years of the founding of the PRC. He won the award for excellent hosts in 2011. South Africa’s television ratings agency New Global Fortune selected Yang Rui as one of the most fair and balanced anchors around the world.
Zou Yue
Zou Yue anchors China 24, and also contributes to The World Today on CGTN. Zou became a correspondent at CCTVNEWS, the predecessor of CGTN, in 2003. Since 2010, he has been the host of China 24. He became the Head of Anchors Team of CCTV International in 2009. Before joining CCTVNEWS, Zou was a producer and reporter for Wuhan TV where he had primary editorial and news gathering responsibilities for all local news coverage. He also anchored the 15-minute local daily English language news program.
